They stage dance, opera, and musicals, and host the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra as well as headliners as varied as punk queen Patty Smith and techno king Jeff Mills. Theater buffs must check out the smaller-scale Theater Cocoon here for “Cocoon Kabuki,” a modern twist on traditional kabuki. It also puts up productions from famous local artists.
