Great excercise to hike to the top and great view over Reykjavik and Faxafloi.

Probably the most popular hike as Esjan is the mountain that you see from almost anywhere in Reykjavík. The hike up is about an hour (in dry conditions). You need special gear in other seasons than summer.

This takes 3-4 ours, but worth it if you are in a good shape. Great view.
