If you stop to gather the real story on this eclectic piece of art, you'll learn that it's also a statement on government bureaucracy. Originally created for SEABA's 2002 Art Hop, it stood precisely on the center-line of the South End's would-be connector highway (see info on my favorite beer at Switchback!)... until being relocated in 2020. Over the years, sunflowers have bloomed out of the open drawers, and birds and squirrels have nested in the cabinets. Love it or hate it, it's here to stay!
