Carben is located in Hintonburg and thrives from the vibrancy and support of the community. Caroline Ngo and Kevin Benes are a husband and wife team dedicated to serving great food in a comfortable environment, with excellent service. The name CARBEN is taken from the owners’ names and is also a play on the element ‘Carbon’ – found in all things; everything is inspiration. The food at Carben is expressive, modern and ever evolving. We are inspired by local and international ingredients and cuisine. We are always challenging ourselves, our staff and our customers. We love collaborating our food with craft cocktails which are created with the same intensity as our food. The restaurant has a modern interior with a touch of industrial and was designed by Shannon Smithers-Gay of one80 Design. Greco Contracting made our visions of a concrete style bar top, wooden table top, industrial bar back and twinkling lights a reality. Carben is an inviting space that we hope everyone keeps coming back to for the dynamic food.

Casual, contemporary fine dining! We love Carben for a special night out, and to try their creative dishes & incredible cocktails. In the summer, they open the windows and have patio seating. The experience is always mind blowing! We also love their wine list & deserts.
