Take the Glass Bottom boat to Seal Island from the Houtbay Harbour and watch the seals slip and slide from the rocks. Take towels with as you will be sprayed. Take a boat trip to explore the shipwrecks along that coastline and learn some interesting facts that lead to their demise. Have the best fish and chips experience at On The Rocks and pls remember to feed the seagulls your leftovers. Toss the chips in the air and duck. The will swarm down to catch it in the air. Have some cash on hand for the market stalls at the Harbour

The harbour offers great restaurants. Friday night market showcasing foodies, clothing and gifts. Great coffee shops and plenty of seafood.

We always love to drive out to Hout Bay – mainly for the nice ride along Chapman’s Peak. But our treat is to go eat fish and chips there at the harbor and enjoy the birds that have become very aquinted with the humans (guilty from feeding them I guess). But still a nice stop to make for Lunch if you drive out that way.
