Los Angeles restaurant. 5-star reviews on Yelp. Get ready for a surprise though... it is in a crappy strip mall next to the 101fwy. You'll love the fake flowers and plastic table coverings. The place hasn't been remodeled since maybe the early 1980's. It is a two-person show - the woman who runs it and the one in the back who cooks. Seat yourself and you'll get menus along with People Magazine and other tabloids. If it is busy (they do a lot of take-out orders), get comfy and enjoy the magazines. It'll be awhile. Whatever you get is awesome, home-cooked food. If I had one meal left on Earth, Thai Pepper would be it. It is VERY VERY inexpensive, so please tip generously.

There are many great ethnic restaurants in Hollywood. This if my favorite because of the sweet couple who own and run it, the well priced authentic food, and the gossip magazines.

This is my favorite restaurant in the world. It is run by the sweetest old lady who serves the most delicious, authentic thai-fusion dishes. Her name is Soon Yi and you will find her 7 days a week serving her home-cooked dishes with a warm, loving smile. The panang curry and chicken pad thai are my personal favorites. The kung-pao chicken is also delicious. Pretty much everything on the menu is amazing and most dishes can serve 2 and go for under $10.
