This is an old, classic haunt. These guys have been here forever. If I was visiting and in this part of town, this is where I would would go. There’s not a big selection of oysters, but they’re tight: Whatever they have, you know they’re properly sourced. They have a shucker right there in the window, and they move a lot of product. They open their doors everyday at 11am, and there’s already a line down the block. You have to be hip to having a little bit of a wait. No question. This place is bustling and busy everyday they’re open.

It is a wait in line but this is San Francisco staple for Louie's and oysters. Family owned and operated. Belly up to the bar!

Great seafood place - family owned forever, fresh everyday. Try to get in at an off-peak hour (10:30 - 11:30, 1:30 - 3).
