Trumpter (now Poirier’s) is a great place for an upscale dinner. Everything we’ve had there is delicious, but we have a real soft spot for the fish and chips. It doesn’t hurt to call ahead for reservations.

Our favorite downtown restaurant for quality. Great atmosphere, esp. in the cold, rainy season when you can curl up next to the fireplace. The salmon is perfectly cooked every time.

If you want a fun place to go in downtown Mount Vernon, we love it here! as someone on a review said: everything is very good! Great food & atmosphere!
