Stony Brook State Park is another must see for waterfalls and gorges. The views are spectacular and the waterfalls are absolutely serene! In the summer time, you can actually walk inside the gorge. This state park is only 24 miles from the Hideaway!

Stony Brook has always been a favorite of ours. The park has a great hike up the gorge with lots of places to get your feet in the water and a ton of waterfalls. The bottom of the hike has a natural, brook fed swimming pool. There are also picnic areas and pavilions here for lunching.
