Shore Acres (in the Cape Arago Park) near Coos Bay has an unusual outcropping where the waves crash unusually high during storms. Drive 3 more miles South & you'll be able to see hundreds of Sea Lions basking & barking!

This park is at the end of Cape Arago Hwy, sits high on a bluff overlooking the ocean. Look to the south you might spot Bandon Dunes and Merchants Beach. There are two coves to explore, the north cove and south cove. North cove is closed in spring for wildlife but the south cove is open and it's the best place to go tide-pooling. The trail for south cove is very steep. Alot of folks wonder out to the stone overlook to watch for whales during the season.

Botanical garden, ocean viewing, hiking and nice park Christmas lights in the botanical gardens from Thanksgiving to New Years Eve. A sight you will want to see and never forget!!!
