Located directly opposite the property within the historic building housing the library and art gallery
A beautiful Victorian hall turned into a cafe, inside the city centre's Art Gallery. Enjoy a drink or some lunch sitting by the window and people-watching.
Magnificent arched space was originally a reading room for the library, before the original features were covered in the 50s and 60s. Restored in 2007 and now operates as a cafe. Worth a look.
Impressive Victorian cafe in Leeds art gallery - stunning decor and good food and drink.

“Leeds' oldest pub! This pub is one of the many old hidden pubs that lead off from the main shopping street (Briggate). These pubs are: Whitelocks, The Angel, The Ship, The Packhorse. If you wanted to do a pub crawl this is the one for you! These pubs can get busy after office hours but they all have external seating. P.s - The Angel is one of the cheapest places to drink in the city - for those on a budget”
