This popular hiking trail is literally right out the door! The views from the top are spectacular. If you don’t want such a strenuous hike, simply explore the trails that lead up to the table top, or that go around the lake.

Head out on this 3.8-mile out-and-back trail near Jamestown, California. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 1 h 44 min to complete. This is a very popular area for birding, hiking, and rock climbing, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime. Dogs are welcome and may be off-leash in some areas. Please drive in past the first gate on Shell Road. Do not park in front of houses, as this is private land. You may park off road along the dirt road between first and second gate. You may also park between the second gate and the restroom. Please follow trail markers as the trail is surrounded by private land.
