One of the busiest of Kenya's offshore reserves, Mombasa Marine National Park protects mangroves, seagrass beds, sandy beaches, and coral reef. Diving and snorkeling are popular activities - especially north of Mombasa, from Mtwapa Creek south to the entrance of Likoni. Seahorses, stingrays, and eels are among the marine creatures inhabiting the reserve, and the MV Dania is a popular wreck dive here. Those wishing to remain dry can view the diverse marine life from a glass-bottom boat. The popular beaches of Nyali, Bamburi, and Shanzu all provide access to the marine park.

Marine activities are a fantastic experience in Mombasa Kenya. Swimming and kayaking are held every day on the beaches. Those who want to experience a more daring activity can go snorkeling and scuba diving. The Mombasa Marine national park provides such services where visitors can view Seagrass beds, mangroves and coral reefs.

There are plenty of tour operators (brokers actually) on the beach that can help you hire a glass boat that takes you to the coral reef. The ticket to the marine park is a standard price but you can haggle for the glass boat trip to get the best price. Don't forget your swimming costume/trunks because you will want to get into the water at some point! I left mine behind and regretted it.
