Awasting Lake is a glacial lake that you have to work to reach, but that's what makes it so desirable...not many make the effort...peace and quite! The whole park is awseome all year long!

If you're hitting Minnewaska on the weekend in Summer or Fall peaks be sure to arrive early as the lot can fill up by 10AM. Great spot for hiking, biking and picnics.
