Beautiful nature and beach where you can walk or bike..

At 300 meter distance from our airbnb. Beautiful peaceful nature area next to the sea. Here you can find Scottish Highlanders (wild cows who walk freely around) In the dunes it is lovely to jog, run, walk, bike and enjoy the sea and beach. A little part of the beach if you walk south (300meter) is a nudist beach. The beach close to our bnb is called the quiet beach, because only local use it. Hardly any tourist goes there.

The Westduinpark between Scheveningen and Kijkduin is one of the largest nature reserves in The Hague. The protected dune park located on the Zuiderstrand has a very varied landscape with dense forest and open plains, moist dune valleys and high dune tops, bunker remains from World War II and Scottish highlanders that roam freely. Thanks to the many walking, cycling and riding trails, the Westduinpark is an ideal nature reserve to get a breath of fresh air by the sea. To keep the dune landscape open and varied, a herd of Scottish highlanders has been released in the Westduinpark. The hairy cattle run free, so you can find them everywhere in the nature reserve. You often see them eating from the rose hips or the wrinkled roses along the bicycle and pedestrian paths. The Scottish highlanders are easily approachable, but it is recommended to keep a distance of at least 25 meters, especially if there are young calves in the herd. There are various cycling and walking paths in the Westduinpark. Cyclists can follow the long-distance path LF1 between Scheveningen and Kijkduin, which runs straight through the dune landscape. Hikers can use the long-distance walking path 5, the Dutch Coastal Path, the route of which also runs between Scheveningen and Kijkduin. In addition, there are numerous small paths for hikers through dune valleys and dune tops. From the latter you have a beautiful view of the city and the sea.
