If you are into hiking: yhis is a popular entry into the beloved forests that surrounds Oslo. The metro line 1 to Frognerseteren offers nice views and the passes by fantastic neighborhoods.

Because of the splendid view! Take also a look at - and inside - the restaurant and café in the 19th century traditional timber building. You arrive there by the tram, but might want to walk downhill on some paths through the forests for some stops on your way home.

As long as it's not too foggy, this place has an amazing view of Oslo and the fjord. Take t-bane #1 to Frognerseteren, walk 5min to Frognerseteren restaurant, enjoy the view and coffee in an old cabin

Take the subway here. The view on the way up and when you get there is great.
