Rumeli Fort is one of my favourite spots in the city. It enjoys the most stunning views over the Bosporus, the Sultan Fatih bridge and Bebek. It's pure joy to stand over its walls and admire the scenery while being enchanted with the lush surroundings and the turquoise waters of the Bosporus. Absolutely magnificent views!!
Byzantinian and later-Ottoman fortress. Great spot to observe the Bosphorus, too.
This is a must see. This huge castle is by the Bosphorus, and wonderful. Make sure to check that you do not go there on the days it is closed. From there you can go to Emirgan Korusu (Forest).
It is not possible to finish the sights of Istanbul easily. This time, we are in the Rumeli Fortress, which spreads over an area of 30 decares in the Sarıyer district. This is a building built in 1452 in preparation for the conquest of Istanbul. Besides its historical importance, Rumeli Fortress fascinates with its magnificent view. You may also be familiar with the name of the fortress from the concert series it hosts. Rumeli Fortress, which can be visited with Müzekart today, has been restored many times as a result of important disasters such as earthquakes and fire. Today, balls and cannonballs continue to be exhibited in the garden of the fortress. There is also an open exhibition hall in the museum.
