There are tons of antique and thrift stores on Oak Island if you like that sort of thing. The Hoarders has lots of unique things, both old and new. Others are The Hope Chest (benefits victims of domestic violence) and "Cool Stuff" both located at 56th and Oak Island Drive, and The Painted Mermaid, located at 1208 North Howe Street in Southport.
