Considered to be the “Lake Trout capital of the world,” Seneca is a world-renowned fishing hole. Bass, Pike, and panfish are also plentiful here. We highly recommend launching a kayak from the beach in Watkins Glen at the Seneca Lake Kayak location (15.5 miles) just east of the town. If you stay on the eastern side of the lake and paddle along the edge, you will see large rock faces, small waterfalls, otters, large fish swimming in the shallows beneath you, on a sunny day it is a breathtaking experience!

The Seneca Lake Wine Trail in the heart of Finger Lakes Wine Country, is comprised of 35 member wineries producing stellar wines made from great grapes. There are also breweries and cideries.
