This is a nice overlook. If you keep walking past the lighthouse, you’ll end up on a road, where I think the view is even better! You’ll feel accomplished after walking up and down all those stairs. *Cheaters tip-if you don’t want to walk the stairs you can drive up behind the lighthouse and walk right to it, no stairs at all.
Feeling adventurous? Take a walk to the top of Cardiff Hill by climbing the 244 steps

The area around the Lighthouse offers a panoramic view of Hannibal and the Mississippi River. See the Tom & Huck statue at its base.

244 steps from the bottom to the top, or take it easy and drive most of the way up and park for only a few steps to the top, for a lovely view of downtown Hannibal and the Mighty Mississippi from North Main St.
