A fun, Independent Bookstore, in nearby Plainville - designed and operated by the author of the Wimpy Kid series - An Unlikely Story is a delightful place to browse or sip a late in the cafe. There is plenty of free parking, a nice staff, and they host events upstairs. I also recommend breakfast or lunch at The Purple Rooster Cafe, right next door. It's open 8-3 Wednesday - Sunday and has great organic food.

Part bookstore, part cafe, this little gem will delight people of all ages! There often have story-telling and other children's events, but also have adult events as well. There is a small gift shop on the 1st floor as well as a little cafe. Delicious beverages and food! A must-see when in the area!
