The Priest's Leap is a narrow mountain pass that leads from Bonane into County Cork. It is a historical landmark and local legend states that it is the spot where a miracle happened in which a priest pursued by soldiers escaped by a miraculous leap of his horse from the mountainous Kerry border into Bantry which is marked with a cross.
