This area is a nature preserve with at least 5 miles of hiking trails. The trail difficulty is listed as moderate due to the elevation gain. Portable oxygen canisters are available for purchase at most shops in the plaza.

Close to town, views of Taos. The hike is vertical. Across the street is South Boundary trail that is not as steep.
