Only a 5 minute drive away, near the second large city park, Schenley Park, as well as the universities, Phipps conservatory has beautiful botanical gardens. A nice extra is the glass art there, remaining pieces from previous exhibits from artists like Dale Chihuly.
Phipps botanical garden is a must-visit for any Pittsburgh stay! Beautiful exhibits that change throughout the year.
if you happen to be visiting on a Friday eve, i highly suggest a stroll thru my favorite place in Pittsburgh. The soft lighting at night is enchanting!
