Great stop not too far out of town. The trail head to Geraldine lake is not far from here.

Walk along an interpretive trail and learn about the river and waterfall. Hike along the canyon, with beautiful views.

A 3.5 hour drive from our cabin, it is one of the must-do side trips along the Icefields Parkway. this outing can be combined with a Jasper trip or the Icefield Parkway sightseeing drive. The Athabasca Falls are part of the Athabasca River, the longest river in Alberta and a designated Heritage River. The falls drops about 25 m (80 feet). Beautiful natural scenery. An easy stop off the highway. You can walk as much or as little as you would like on the well-established trails.
