Dogs can run free before 10am and after 7pm! Huge parks great for picnics and long walks.
All purpose bar, but quite popular among the locals for their breakfasts. Very close to the underground station.
Really nice at the top end near Legazpi. A nice alternative to Retiro if you want to lounge around for the day. The Matadero is also worth a visit, depending what's on.

“This is one of the outstanding places in Madrid. You could spend days walking here! Take a look at the lake (you can even ride a boat!) and the Angel's statue. Prepare a snack and read a book among the beautiful flowers and trees. Excellent place for a run! Don't miss the two exhibition spaces that the Reina Sofía Museum administrates inside the park with free exhibitions: - Palacio Velazquez - Palacio de Cristal ”

Plac
“2. Plaza Mayor The Plaza Mayor, located in the heart of the city a few minutes walk from the Puerta del Sol, is another of the essential places to visit in Madrid.
