You can take any number of whale watching excursions off the wharf in Monterey. Spectacular views of several types of whales. Sea sickness can be an issue. Eat lightly and consider an over the counter seasickness med, but worth it! Most tours are 3-4 hrs. Dress in layers, can be very chilly.
