Beautiful hike, find fossils and then cool off with a dip in the ocean!

There is a beach, a small waterfall, short hikes, and simple amenities in this provincial park. It's about a 15-minute drive from Livingstone Cove.

Arisaig Provincial Park is best known as a fossil destination for geology buffs. Some fossils are easily visible in the rock, while others can be discovered during a search. However, the park has much more to offer like a beautiful sandy beach, a 1.6 kilometer hiking trail, and some great views overlooking the Northumberland Shore. Arisaig Provincial Park adventures, and activities most enjoyed include hiking, sightseeing, picnicking, swimming, beachcombing, camping, fossil digging (but you cannot take them) and snowshoeing and skiing.

Waterfalls, walk, jog, hike, picnic, swim, explore pangea fossils! Arisaig park is a cute little park, ideal for a forested run or hike, situated along the shores of the Northumberland Strait. You can find fossils that tie the area to the supercontinent Pangea. A provincially maintained park, it has picnic areas and well maintained hiking trails.

risaig Provincial Park is a small picnic park located near the community of Arisaig, 27 km (17 mi) north of Antigonish in the Northumberland Shore region. A 1.6-km (1-mi) loop trail provides access to many interesting features. From the interpretive kiosk, the trail winds towards the shore through a forest of white spruce. The shoreline portion includes a viewing platform and several access points to the beach. Another viewing station overlooks Arisaig Brook. From Arisaig Brook, the trail climbs a short but steep hill to the top of a small open field, where it returns to the kiosk along the ridge.
