This is a easy to moderate hike, kids can do it pretty easy to. About 2 hours round trip. Gorgeous views along the way. Upon arriving at the falls you can walk behind the waterfall…. Totally cool!! Can be slippery and wet, wear good shoes, bring drinks definitely!

Tamanawas Falls Trail is a 3.4 mile heavily trafficked out and back trail located near Mount Hood Parkdale, Oregon that features a waterfall and is rated as moderate. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from May until October. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

A 35 min drive South on Hwy 35 up towards Mt Hood, on a clear day you will see Mt Hood right from Hwy 35, it will take your breath away! The parking lot can be full on the weekends, do NOT park along Hwy 35, that is illegal and dangerous! Riverside walking route through forested hills to a creek tumbling over a sheer, 110-ft lava cliff. This is an out and back hike, approximately 3. 8 miles. Can be very busy! Stunning views of the river along the way.

I love this hike because it can be 100+ degrees at the base of the trail and by the time you get to the amazingly beautiful falls you will bathed in a cool mist. It's an intermediate trail, suitable for most ages, keep a close eye on the little ones around the steep parts.
