a short stroll from Woodland Suite, step back in time at the steam railway, lovely cafe & childrens play area, take the train to Lakeside & catch a Lake cruiser to Ambleside, great day out.

A classic steam railway with small park, good cafe, frequent owl display, engine shed. For a great day out on the lake (Windermere) park at Haverthwaite, take the train to Lakeside, and take the foot ferry (approx. £2 return) to Fell Foot (National Trust Park on the Lake)... Tranquil, stunning views and history to boot!
