The closest pub to the cottage. You can easily walk there - takes about 45 minutes but I wouldn't advise walking there in the dark unless you have head torches and are brave! Good food and overlooks the River Arun and the old Stopham Bridge. Great for a pint outside too.

Stopham RoadThe closest pub to the cottage. You can easily walk there - takes about 45 minutes but I wouldn't advise walking there in the dark unless you have head torches and are brave! Good food and overlooks the River Arun and the old Stopham Bridge. Great for a pint outside too.

Arundel is must-visit place. Beautiful architecture - though a steep hill - and Arundel Castle is fabulous to visit.

Pretty market town, with great antique shops, boutiques and cafes. Petworth House (National Trust) and Petworth Park are great to visit.

Glorious unspoilt sandy beach that stretches for miles. About a 45 minute drive from the cottage. You have to pay for parking so take cash! If going in summer months, I would advise going early as the roads can get busy around to the beach.
