The pretty town of Petworth is just 12 miles away. It is reputed to be the only place outside London to boast more than 30 art and antique dealers within a one-mile radius. It is the location of the 17th century stately home Petworth House (National Trust) and Petworth Park which also has some lovely walks. There are some lovely shops, cafes and restaurants in and around Petworth, and you can easily spend half a day here.

Very popular destination with Petworth House and Park (National Trust) as well as masses of antique shops, boutiques and an upmarket deli. Farmers market 4th Saturday of the month.
