Everything here is superb. Small, but inviting. While you wait, check out an odd little museum of religious philosophy in the basement. This the closest good coffee and tea to my listings. Serves light food, always good. Closes at 3pm.

This place will really surprise you. World class baked goods. Croissant-donuts, regular donuts, kolaches and other pastries. Everything is exceptional except the actual location. These goodies belong in a much nicer location.

This is a swanky kind of excellence in coffee and pastries, and pricey. What I love about this place besides the chocolate croissants is the incredibly lovely location. Inside is closed for COVID, but they have outdoor seating. If you're looking for an indoor coffee hangout during the pandemic, try Java Dudes down the street on Olive. If you just want a good cup of coffee, try 7 Brew.

If you just want a good cup of coffee, try 7 Brew.
Probably far from authentic (I wouldn't know, I've never been...), Sushi House is fun with sushi. I've loved everything I venture to order. I think it's a great place for an introduction to sushi because they are all about good taste and probably not so much on orthodoxy.

Not Blue Chair, but the Mexican food truck that's in the parking lot of Blue Chair. My favorite food truck ever, so far. Very good value for fat burritos and quesadillas with amazing homemade tortillas. Street tacos are not such a bargain as the other menu items.

Don't let the fact that it's in a strip mall throw you off the scent. This is incredible Italian food. Far prefer this to local places in Tontitown or the new popular place in Elm Springs (name of which I already forgot, that's how much it impressed me), and definitely better than chain Italian places.

Far prefer this to local places in Tontitown or the new popular place in Elm Springs (name of which I already forgot, that's how much it impressed me), and definitely better than chain Italian places.
Although the customer service has been hit and miss here, this is the best fine dining restaurant in the area, in my opinion. Of course, Ruth Chris's Steak House is superb, but it's a chain! Mermaid's is locally-owned by its chef. Don't let his whiteness fool you. He can cook!

Best value in ice cream. Andy's is really good, always recommend Andy's, but Braum's is a great value. If you're like me and don't like paying $6 for an ice cream, this is the place for you. Lots of great hand-dipped choices. Now ice cream I don't mind paying a pretty penny for is Pure Joy ice cream in Siloam Springs. It's boutique ice cream. You can pick up containers of their most popular flavors at Reverie in Prairie Creek if you don't want to drive all the way to Siloam Springs.

A Eureka Springs listing: Thursday night is locals night. They offer two dishes at half price and have live music after 7 pm (call to confirm if that's a deal breaker for you). The tilapia is trustworthy!

Save your money
Overrated IMHO are:
Eleven at Crystal Bridges, Flying Fish Seafood, Fred's Hickory Inn, The Buttered Biscuit and Rick's Bakery. Some eateries in this area become popular because their owners are well liked, but the food and atmosphere is really not so deserving of the fame.
Note: Sorry about not listing any eateries in Eureka Springs. I just don't have much experience there. I have to work on that. ;)
