Debaucherous Drinks

The house was built in 1920, so we put together this list of bars and restaurants to celebrate the roaring 20s! We hope this list will transport you back in time to a place that’s just a little more magical.
It’s not the roaring 20’s without a good, old fashioned speakeasy! This underground bar is known to locals by the red lamp that beckons in a downtown alley. Elegant cocktails and decor echo the prohibition era, circa 1920 - 1933. Open Friday - Saturday night.

Located in historic Heritage Square (circa 1885), Pizzeria Bianco boasts nationally-recognized, thin-crust pizzas. Even with reservations, you can probably expect a wait, so I recommend the charming, historic house next door for cocktails and wine once you check-in. Reservations Required.

Leisurely Lunch

Hanny’s Department Store was constructed in 1947 and closed in 1986. The building was then purchased by the city and repeatedly set ablaze for firefighter training. It is now a contemporary cocktail center, serving upscale salads and thin-crust pizza. Enter the basement, if you dare. Open for lunch on weekdays. Dinner only on Saturday and Sunday.

Solo Travel

Alright, so this section has nothing to do with “Time Travel” ✨🚀 or history ⏳... but in my opinion, there’s nothing more daunting (and exciting!) than making new friends while traveling. If you’re traveling alone, here are some spots that typically boast a younger, friendly crowd, to help you get started!
This brewery is located on Roosevelt street in Phoenix. On the 1st Friday of every month, local creatives will set up tents along the street and display their art to the public. The clientele is very friendly and you’ll sit, Oktoberfest-style, at open-air, large tables.

This place is awesome! It’s practically a maze, with different food and drink trucks. If you can’t decide where to start in DT PHX, this should be your place, because they’ve got something for everyone.
