Unlike the murky waters of the Colorado River in Austin, the San Marcos River is a refreshing oasis where you can enjoy a lazy tube ride down the river for 2.5-3.5 hours (depending on your preferred timeline). There will be plenty of time to soak up the sun, enjoy local wildlife, and, of course, have a little party on the water. BYOB, so bring along your favorite beers and seltzers (NO GLASS CONTAINERS, please!), and leave the rest up to us. We'll have a small cooler for everyone to share. Message us if you want to book a kids experience. We will start the experience in the backyard where you will meet Ripley the house pig. You'll learn about the history of Kunekune pigs and what makes them so unique. If we have younger pigs that are living in the backyard you'll get to meet them then too. I'll have treats prepared for you to feed the pigs and you'll learn how to make them sit and get their treats. Then I'll take you to meet the adult pigs first the girls and then the boys. We have 20 pigs that make up "Halbert Herd" and their ages range from 4 months to 9 years. You'll get to feed the adults treats and they love getting attention and being petted. Most of them will lay down and want their belly rubbed. If we have piglets you'll get to spend time in the piglet pen, depending on their age, you may be able to feed them treats and when they get to be about 3 weeks old they will crawl on your lap. Other things to note Make sure to wear closed toes shoes, pigs like to chew on toes. Rain, hiking, mud boots are great options. You will get dirty and we will be outside. Pay attention to the weather and dress accordingly. Long pants work better even when its hot because we may walk in tall grass in the pastures.

We will then explore the area on foot, committing alternating random acts of kindness and social experiments from a list that's provided. Guests will conduct a series of specific acts but with plenty of their own judgment and imaginations engaged too. These acts will involve sightseeing like a local in a vibrant pocket of Austin while learning how others tick and truly making an unsuspecting soul's day over and over. For social experiments, guests may be asked to step into an elevator without turning around to face the front and then to note the reactions of the public. For random acts, they may be finding someone who needs a hand/compliment, paying a cup of coffee forward, etc. In the end, guests won't be able to help but grin from ear to ear after having witnessed, participated in, and created a multitude of special moments invoking insights about the human psyche, deep gratitude, and "warm fuzzies." In this hands-on class, Chocolatera Ashley Ugarte will teach you how to create single-origin chocolate truffles from scratch. You'll also learn about the history of chocolate in Mesoamerica and Mexico and sample three origins of chocolate bars. Start by making truffles using single-origin dark chocolate, which you will hand-roll, coat in chocolate, and decorate. While observing a live demo of cacao roasting, you will then experience a chocolate tasting of three different craft chocolate bars. This class is gluten-free and can also accommodate vegans.

Lastly, we will ride through one of the most beautiful stretches of “The Devil’s Backbone.” This limestone ridge is famous for it’s mountainous views and winding roads. You will ride up hills, down hills, near ponds and creeks, as well as take in the most unique and breathtaking views in all of Texas! We will stop to take a couple pictures along the way! Go on a walking, cocktail tasting, tour of downtown Austin! We'll stop and talk about several hidden-face speakeasy style bars - some stashed inside parking garages, behind bookshelves, down alley ways, pass-code and password protected, and private clubs! We'll get you into three where we can order drinks! Meet downtown and we'll sit and chat for a few minutes introducing ourselves and what it means to call a bar a speakeasy in Austin, TX. Then, we walk to the first bar. All the bars are located downtown within a few blocks of each other. We'll spend 30-45 minutes in each of three bars, having drinks, learning about the place, and appreciating the aesthetic. Throughout the night we will continue on past several more hidden-face speakeasy style bars, stopping in some and just stopping to talk about others. The night ends once you get into the third and final bar and get your drinks ordered. We do not to include drinks to give you a lower price and more choice. We will have a group tab which can be paid for via cash, Apple Pay and Cash App. Prices vary by venue but $15-25 per drink (including a 20% tip) is a good ballpark.

Join us for a one of a kind tour of the San Marcos River! You will be learning about kayaking from an Olympian on a clear springs starting at the source and floating down to my house on the river. Our clear kayaks create a totally unique view of the river that you CANNOT miss! We will meet at 602 Interstate 35 N. in San Marcos and get geared up. We will then travel together to our put in location on the upper San Marcos River. As we kayak back down, you will be given paddling tips and tricks, information about our unique river, along with an amazing view! Other things to note This is a moderately physical activity. It includes wading in the river, optional swimming, and kayaking!

Our family fell in love with goats in early 2020 during the Covid lockdown. Raising baby goats has now become a lifestyle for us. Yes, we always have baby goats! This experience allows you to be hands on with the youngest babies and learn about them. You can also meet the mommies and the bucks. When you arrive, we will take a couple of minutes to introduce ourselves and our animals. We will then jump right in to it and introduce you to our cute baby goats. You can pet, hold, or cuddle them as you wish and feed them treats. While you play, we will tell you a bit about each one of them, and their personalities (yes, each goat has a different personality, and likes and dislikes). We will let you spend some time with our goats and be available to answer questions or share knowledge. Be ready to meet some tiny goats! Our goats are all very friendly and clean.

Ready to shape your own cup? Join us for a two hour pottery experience and learn your way around the potter's wheel as your shape your own unique bowls, cups and vases with the help of your host. After shaping your items, you will choose the color you want them finished in and we will ship them to you when they have gone through the firing process. We will start at Auditorium Shores and make our way around the park to capture the best background settings with the Austin Skyline! Light walking is required and please be prepared to walk through some grassy areas. (Think back up shoes.) All photos are taken with a professional digital camera.
