Najlepsze sposoby spędzania czasu w: Nowa Zelandia

Unique activities hosted by local experts vetted for quality

  • Meet the Woolly Sheep, Lambs on my Farm
You'll be transported to the New Zealand countryside to see the surrounds of our beautiful farm and meet our friendly, naturally coloured Corriedale sheep & lambs (during lambing season). Our wooly sheep will come right up to us to say hello and have a pat and I'll answer any questions you would like to ask. We'll chat about how they are looked after on the farm, the lambs and breeding cycle and how we rescue and carefully feed any orphan lambs. You can even learn a bit about the history of sheep farming in New Zealand. Next, I'll explain how wool is shorn from the sheep, skirted, washed & dried. Then we will select your choice of wool, alpaca, lama and possum fibres to blend and card into large batts of fibre that are then spun into yarn. I'll use the wool that we've just made to give you a spinning demonstration on my spinning wheel. There will be lots of opportunity for guests to ask questions about farming, our friendly, wooly friends or wool processing. This Experience is great fun for team-building, date nights, get togethers and team building events. Please book a private experience for your group and I'll make sure you have lots of laughs, time to connect with nature and de-stress and learn a bit along the way. Fun for family/friend catch ups too. Message me to schedule your event. Individual bookings and kids groups also welcome. Other things to note This experience can be viewed from most devices. A larger screen is probably best to be able to see the outdoors, animals and wool craft in detail.

  • Elegant cruise on Lake Te Anau
We'll start from the old government wharf on the shores of Lake Te Anau, at the end of the main street. After a very light hearted safety brief and introduction we'll start cruising toward the Hidden Lakes Wharf, about 40 minutes away in the South Fiord. On the way you'll be invited to have a drink of your choice (we have quite a number to choose from!!) while listening to the history of Faith as she sailed from Scotland to New Zealand. On arrival we'll disembark, and you'll take a guided walk into the first of the Hidden Lakes. This takes about 45 minutes with lots of little stops for us to tell you about the surrounding flora and fauna. This is an easy walk, and one you're not likely to see anyone else on - other than those in your group (maximum of 16). Upon return to Faith, you'll be served morning or afternoon tea, and will have time to sit and enjoy the peace of the National Park. Once you're ready, we'll leave the wharf and hoist the sails for the return journey - which you can help us with if you choose. While we'd like to sail all the way home, it's usual to run the engine to get us home on time. We'll arrive back to the wharf after approximately 3 hours. Other things to note It's important to consider changing weather during the 3 hours we're away. A jacket is important. Also consider preparing for motion sickness as the lake can get a little rough at times.

  • New Zealand Nature Highlights
The experience is live-streamed from the farm and will start with an introduction of New Zealand. As it is a lifestyle farm, the animals are rotated around the different paddocks (fields), but there is a good chance you will get to see ewes (sheep), dairy cows and chickens. Your Online Experience offers you a firsthand feel of what nature in New Zealand has to offer. As the experience is hosted 100% outdoors it could be a sunny, rainy or cloudy day. The camera will be projected onto the paddocks where I will take you on a walking tour. Along the way, I will explain things that go on around the farm, share interesting facts about my sustainable lifestyle and ecosystems, and you will have the opportunity to ask questions. You could be joining from your office or from the comforts of your home or be part of a group. If you prefer, you could organize your own private session with family, friends or colleagues. The perfect teambuilding or family bonding opportunity. NB: New Zealand Nature Highlights is great as a team-building event. Book a private experience for your workmates.

  • Trail run thru wild Wellington
Will will meet in the CBD early evening and head out towards one of the three main peaks around the city depending on the weather and desired distance for our group. Walk the steep bits, jog the flat. We will soon find ourselves in bush with birdsong and great atmosphere. Then before long we will see views (mandatory selfie). Then we run down hill, our favourite part, to either one of the great boutique craft beer bars or a hidden gem of a cafe for refreshments and running brags. There will be bush, probably mud, views, smiles and good trail times all round. Let me know what your normal running distance is and I will adjust the tour to find middle ground. That is is the beauty of running in the the trail running capital of the world: we always have options. Other things to note I will have a car near the start for storage of bags and items for after the run
