Voted #2 top rated museum in the country. This is a heavy experience but well worth it if you're interested in WWII history. This is at least 1 full day experience but could be 2 full days depending how thoroughly you explore the exhibits.

This national museum shows the American experience through the war - why, how, and what it means today. The museum is huge so plan accordingly!

A must-see for history lovers, the WWII Museum has been designated by the U.S. Congress as America’s official WWII Museum. From the 1930s prelude to war, to the Normandy Invasion and the battles of the Pacific Islands, visitors can trace America's role in the war & on the Home Front. Keep in mind…

New Orleans is home to the Higgins boat, the landing craft that brought US soldiers to shore in many WWII battles. Interesting exhibits and great IMAX movie!

This museum is considered one of the best in the USA. Plan to spend a full day here. I recommend walking from there to Peche for lunch then back to the museum.
