This is a beautiful ancient clapper bridge in the heart of Exmoor with an excellent pub. Lots of walks, swimming, paddling and ice creams, depending on season. Be prepared for an uphill walk (about half a mile) back up to the car park. Small disabled car park right by the river though.
Beautiful spot by the river. Great for walks, or a paddle and with a restaurant/tea rooms for refuelling.
Tarr Steps is a great place to picnic and go walking, where you and your children can run free and explore the stunning countryside within Exmoor National Park.
At any time of year this place will take your breath away - stunning scenery, walks and wild swimming make it one of the most sought after places on the moor. (15 minutes away)
