When the Last Bookstore converted an old downtown LA bank into a massive retail space, they invited Scott Craig to move in with his Records L.A. store. If you walk in and turn right, you’ll see the many bins that he stocks on a weekly basis and you could easily kill a few hours between the used books and used records. The Last Bookstore is a worthwhile destination in its own right. It’s an amazing space filled with endless rows of new and used books. Don’t forget to go upstairs and look around the stacks and vaults up there. Trust me.

A huge bookstore in a building that formerly housed a bank, this place features among other things, a giant record section, bank vaults that have been converted into rooms full of antique books, a side room devoted to rare books, and a 2nd floor where everything is 1 dollar with sculptures and…
Best Place to pick up a book or record. Lots of unique art and interactive spaces.
don’t judge a store by its photos! this is an experience if you enjoy adventure and books!
As California's largest used and new book and record store, the two-story Last Bookstore is part Harry Potter wonderland and part artist loft. Hit the kids section on the first floor and then take a stroll through the "Labyrinth" on the second floor, a quirky area with used books organized by…

That’s when owner Josh Spencer took his decade of experience selling everything from cars to clothes online and focused instead on his…

“Visit and enjoy delicious food vendors at Grand Central Market in downtown and explore the cuisines and cultures of LA. Drop by the Bradbury building next door for an architectural marvel. ”

“This French restaurant has quite the exquisite menu from food to drinks(also pricey but worth it). I had a couple of appetizers at the bar, Pork Belly accompanied with refreshing frisée and pickled apples dressed with a maple-sherry vinegar glaze and the other was Baked Brie (really interesting). I went on a Sunday and they had live music at 7pm and a DJ set at 9pm. Not only do you have the option to dine-in or out on the balcony. If you plan for dinner please do make reservations. You may skip dinner and go straight to the rooftop. Seats are available as first come, first serve or you can just stand around with a drink meanwhile waiting for a seat to open up (which happened pretty quick for me) just keep your eyes open. The rooftop feels like a lounge and there's no young crowd. It's perfect for dates, catching up with friends or a brief business meeting etc. There's also opportunity to meet people because it's spaced out and relaxing. Everyone is in their happy zone enjoying the rooftop. I hope you do too! ”
