Shining Rock Wilderness is a great place to hike and enjoy nature.

This is my favorite hike in the area, the east fork of the pigeon river is cold and crisp and the views are great. You will find that you can walk for hours and never run into anyone else.

Great hiking...love John's Rock and Shining Rock trails. Don't get too close to the edge, really.
