Great pub in a great location. If you like walking, try the cliff walk prior to lunch or dinner. Good ale, good food and both reasonably priced.

The Blue Ball is a traditional coaching inn dating back in parts to the 13thcentury, with low ceilings, blackened beams, stone fireplaces and a timeless atmosphere of unspoilt old world charm. The Inn is set 900 feet above sea level, amidst rolling hills just on the edge of the moor. Its not driven by technology but by traditional hospitality and a passion for its surroundings. Exmoor is a truly all year round destination with its contrasting seasons that appeal in Autumn, Winter, Summer and Spring. It is a superb base for walks, with some of Britain's finest landscapes and a choice of seven circular walks through stunning countryside that all start from the Inn. So why not escape the crowds, the hustle and bustle, enjoy a comfy bed, a hearty breakfast, you can relax, unwind and leave your car parked up until the day you depart. You'll receive a friendly welcome with good beer and hearty food, the Blue Ball offers tradition at its best. You can take tea, enjoy a pint or study your maps while toasting your toes on one of our roaring log fires. Our en-suite rooms are comfortable, homely and charmingly decorated with cotton bedding, huge fluffy towels a few mod cons like WIFI, tea trays, hairdryers and TV's. Breakfast is included.
