Sherwood Island Beach and State Park is 10 min by car at exit 18 of 95. They still sell out of state season pass for around $110. You can use it at any CT state park and beach. Also you can get daily parking there too and it's $15 for out of state vehicles.

Sherwood Island State Park has it all if you're looking for outdoor fun: the longest contiguous stretch of beachfront in Fairfield County, several miles of hiking trails, ball fields, grills and picnic tables and concession stands. The Sherwood Island Nature Center offers hands-on experiences with aquatic creatures and a calendar of daily activities.

Beautiful beach and barbeque park and beach, walk-able from house at low-tide. 911 Memorial site.

Beach on Long island Sound. Lots of parking, Large beach, Pavilion with food. more than one bath house, handicap accessible, off season (spring, fall, winter) you can have the beach to yourself. Great beach for walking.
