The South Main Arts District holds some Memphis’ greatest legends, architecture, art, innovation and characters. It is full of entrepreneurs, locally owned shops, restaurants, and bars. Galleries, shops, world-renowned attractions, and community spirit all contribute to one of Memphis' most historic and eclectic neighborhoods.

South Main is a hip district where converted early-1900s warehouses are home to chef-driven eateries, relaxed bars, brewpubs and shops selling custom T-shirts and vintage fashion. The Lorraine Motel, site of Martin Luther King Jr.’s assassination, is now the National Civil Rights Museum. Close by, the Blues Hall of Fame exhibits music memorabilia.
