The Hudson Valley Rail Trail is a paved 4-mile east–west rail trail in the town of Lloyd in Ulster County, New York, stretching from the Hudson River through the hamlet of Highland. The trail was originally part of the Poughkeepsie Bridge Route, a rail corridor that crossed the Hudson via the Poughkeepsie Bridge
The Hudson Valley Rail Trail stretches 7.1 miles through hardwood forests, over Black Creek, and under two stone-arch bridges. Connects the towns of New Paltz, Lloyd, and Highland. Paved trail, good for walking or biking. Runs east-west. Starts at North Putt Corners Road in New Paltz and ends at the Walkway Over The Hudson.
