There are four ski areas with 30 minutes: Jiminy Peak Resort is the largest, there's also Catamount and Butternut. Bousquet holds a special place in my heart. I grew up snowboarding on this small mountain and it's got a local flare that's so welcoming. It's extremely well-maintained and the private lessons are well-priced and excellent. They've got a tubing hill if you want to enjoy winter fun but don't want to lock into a pair of skis or a board. The lodge was just completely redone.
