It’s an ever-changing mystery whisky that they give out for shots if you ask. All the cocktails are fresh to order and taste a lot better for it.

It’s shady and low-key venue, tucked away in a laneway just off Crown. If you like your whiskey, this is a great bar and a local scene just 6 minutes walk. Beware sometimes can be busy. Bonus - sometimes they have a blue grass live music.

Shady Pines Saloon is one of these venues where you can sense a decorative purpose, a genuine effort to give the place an atmosphere that patrons will come and look for. The vibe is that of a saloon, possibly a Canadian saloon, or an American one, isolated in the Yosemite National Park. There is warmth and chatter, candle light and dancing shadows, a piano - of course - and a long wooden bar on which you'd expect the barman to poor a line of bourbon along its entire length and set it on fire for the last call.

Another hidden gem behind oxford street, you go down the stairs into another world with country/folk music, taxidermy and freshly juiced apple and vodka cocktails. You can even get a bowl of peanuts and throw the peels on the ground.
