Definitely worth a visit. Kingston has a really nice commercial district (The Stockade) with local shopping, a used book store, and good restaurants. It's also close to Woodstock.

Visit the historic uptown/stockade area of Kingston to see the site of the original Senate house for NY State, but also the amazing 1700's intact historic stone houses that dot this 10 block radius of one way streets and great restaurants/shops which has experienced a major revival/boom town feel in the wake of covid.
