O tym miejscu
Het Sarphatipark is een rechthoekig park van 4,5 hectare in het midden van de Amsterdamse woonwijk De Pijp in stadsdeel Amsterdam-Zuid. Het park is vernoemd naar de arts, stedenbouwer en weldoener Samuel Sarphati, van wie een standbeeld in het park staat. Het gemaal is een gemeentelijk monument.

Sarphati is named after the Jewish doctor and philanthropist Samuel Sarphati (1813-1866) whose marvelous 19th century monument dominates the park, this small (it stretches for only two blocks) rectangle of green in the middle of trendy "De Pijp" area, is one of the nicest in Amsterdam.
