Believed to be the oldest bar in the city, La Carafe is a place to unwind. The building is also known to be the oldest commercial structure still in use. La Carafe exclusively serves reasonably priced wine and beer against a dim, eerie setting. Throughout the decades, it’s also been a popular spot for ghost hunting due to the building’s old age and history. There’s nothing else to do here but swap stories with friends over a glass of wine, all while being serenaded by mellow music.

It's not hard to believe that this is the oldest bar in Houston - creaky stairs, dimly lit, lots of brick... Bring cash or you'll have to use the ATM outside!
