A great place to have a picnic and watch the planes take off and land, see the sunset with all the iconic DC buildings in the background. There are some picnic tables and sometimes there are food trucks but I recommend to bring food with you.

Great views of the city from this small park located immediately north of the runway at DCA. Take in iconic views while planes land right over your head.

Stunning views! Nice park and hiking trail along the Potomac River. You can picnic/cook-out or just relax in the sun while watching the planes land at Regan national airport. You'll also be able to see the capital and monument from the park as well.

Bikers, joggers, soccer players, and just about everyone converge along the Potomac river and beneath the flight path to National Airport. Amazing views of flight operations.

Gravelly Point Park is a great place to see the airplanes fly in right over you going to DCA (Reagan) airport. You can bike/run there from the Mount Vernon trail, or you can drive there. Some people also bring a picnic lunch and watch the airplanes go by.
